Charlton Lavallee

He was predeceased by his parents Reynold James Lavallee and Betty Mae Ponace; sisters Anne Mellisa Ponace and Angie Lavallee; brothers Sherman (Todd) Ponace and David Redwood; auntie Bernadette Sangwais (Lavallee); Kokum Beatrice Laframboise; paternal grandparents Andrew Lavallee and Marie Louise Acoose, John and Mary (Alice) Ponace; uncle Laurie Poness; auntie Darlene Bunnie and close cousin Michael Cornel Dean Sangwais (died December 5, 2022).

He is survived by his siblings: Annette Fortner-Ponace, Drina (Sherrye) Ponace, Tim Ponace and Charlie Lavallee; special nieces Ashlee (Raymond) Blacksouix and Ashlyn (Eric) Plante-Lavallee; grandchildren he took as his own: A’Ishah, Montana, Gladys, Jacob, Amaya, Bronx, Sienna and Benny; aunties: Biola (Bill) Meadow of Tucson, AZ, Debbie (Eli) Beardy of Winnipeg, MB, Maxine (Warren) Hall and Edie Ponace; uncle Edward (Christine) Ponace all of Regina, SK and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

A traditional wake was held in the Zagime Community Complex, Zagime First Nation on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held in the Zagime Community Complex on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Terry Flamont officiating. Interment followed in Zagime United Church Cemetery.

The pallbearers are: Leon Cappo, Noel Veidenheimer, Jonathan Bunnie, Raymound Blacksouix, Ryan Smoke and Brendan Fox. Honorary pallbearers are everybody in attendance.
