

Christine was born on May 9, 1932, in Diamantheim, Galicia, Poland to Katherina and Johann Reihl. Her father went missing in action early in her life and in 1948 Christine, her mother and her siblings immigrated to Canada.
Christine learned English while working on Bill and Lizzie Baxter’s farm near Cupar. In 1950 she moved to Wolseley where she worked at Boye’s Uneeda Lunch, Robinson’s Store and Weird Willie’s General Store.
In 1968 Christine married Wilfred Rein and together they raised two children, Ron and Donna. Her family was the greatest love of her life. Christine enjoyed gardening, crocheting, watching crops grow and animals on the farm, her pets, visits from her little friends around the neighbourhood and community, volunteering in the community and being a friend to many. A smile was always on her face and kind words were spoken to everyone.
Christine was predeceased by her beloved husband Wilfred; parents Johann and Katherina Reihl; brothers Jacob and Walt Reihl; sisters-in-law: Darlene Reihl, Audrey Rein, Aleane Traub and Ruth Reihl; brothers-in-law: Cec Biden, Norman, Gerald, Bill, Herb, Armie, Marvin and Lawrence Rein; nephews Alan Rein and Garry Rein and father and mother-in-law Phillip and Karoline Rein.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Ron Rein (Wolseley) and daughter Donna Rein (Saskatoon); sister Hilda Biden; sisters-in-law: Florence Rein, Mable Rein and Shirley Rein; brothers-in-law Ervin Rein and Clarence (Ruth) Rein; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
A funeral service was held in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, SK on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor D J Kim officiating. The pallbearers were Norman Bailey, Steven Reihl, Todd Reinhardt, Launie Rein, Richard Todd and Tim Caswell. The interment followed in the Wolseley Cemetery.
