

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cory Leron Hotomanie, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, grandson, uncle and cousin on June 2, 2025 in Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley, Saskatchewan at the age of 55 years.
Cory was born on September 26, 1969, in Wolseley, Saskatchewan and raised on Carry the Kettle First Nation.
He leaves to mourn his: sons Damien (Chelsea) and Sam; grandchildren: Raina, Loui, Lestat, Shania, Ambroshja, Pakeus and Isaiah; brother Darren; sister Errin; cousins whom his mom raised: Tyler and Jesse Hotomanie and Lyle Keon Spencer; nephews: Zane, Angelo and Creedon; nieces Destiny and Taylor; grandmothers Sarah Eashappie and Aletha Whitefeather; aunts, uncles and cousins too numerous to name in the Hotomanie, Eashappie and Haywahe families; special uncles Dwight Ironstar (whom he called Dale) and Derrick Saulteaux and his special aunt Terri Ironstar.
Cory was predeceased by his parents Rosalita Hotomanie and Gary Eashappie; brother Bradley; son Logan; great-grandparents Jesse and David Saulteaux Jr. and Norman and Theresa Eashappie; grandparents Clifford and Marita Hotomanie and Angeline Eashappie and Wilfred Haywahe; special grandmother Rev. Bernice Saulteaux; nephew Devon; uncles: Arnold, Gifford and Dan; aunts Karen and Lina; cousins: Jeremy, Gregory, Farron, Vernon, Tracey and Terilyn and close friend Cameron Spencer (whom he called Mcger).
The funeral service was held in the chapel of Tubman Funeral home in Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Francis Hengen and Elder Clyde O'Watch. The pallbearers were Zane Jack, Delaney Hotomanie, Kelly Ironstar, Lonnie Eashappie, Gene O’Watch and Aiden Hotomanie. The interment followed in the South Cemetery on Carry the Kettle First Nation. A feast will be held at a later date.
