Donnie was born in Regina Saskatchewan on January 4, 1949. She grew up in Wolseley SK where she met her husband Lawrence and married January 30, 1967. Together they settled on the family farm north of Glenavon SK in 1977 and raised five children.
Aside from grain/cattle, farming Donnie worked at the Glenavon Library, Wolseley Grocery Store and spent many years at Abbott Laboratories in Wolseley SK. In 2011, Lawrence and Donnie moved from the family farm to Wolseley SK where Donnie enjoyed her retirement years.
She loved volunteering her time while living in town. If she wasn’t busy with her beautiful yard full of flowers, children and grandkids, adventuring on city trips with Lawrence to enjoy a day of shopping, she would be at the Wolseley Lakeside Home painting nails or just visiting with the residents. Where she became known as “The Nail Polish Lady”. She also had an amazing artistic talent, and enjoyed drawing with her grandchildren.
Donnie will forever be remembered for her kind heart and love for her family. She would greet everybody with her beautiful smile and warm welcome.
After a six-year battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer, Donnie passed away at the Broadview Hospital with family by her side.
Donnie was predeceased by her father Ted Folbar; mother Leslie Green; stepfather George Green; grandsons Carter & Broden Dancsok and great-granddaughter Brielle Williams.
