

On Thursday, September 1, 2011, Dorothy Marie Robinson, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lakeside Nursing Home, Wolseley, SK., at the age of 93 years. Born in Melville, Sask., on November 16, 1917. Dorothy lived in Brandon, MB., Estevan and Wolseley with her first husband, Rawlings (Rollie) William Carter where they operated a hardware store for many years until Rollie passed away suddenly in 1961. She married Earle Edwin Robinson and lived on their farm south of Regina until his passing in 1985. She later moved back to Wolseley where she spent the remainder of her life. Besides her husband, Dorothy was predeceased by sisters, Sue Assman and Irene Schmidt and brothers, Alf, Art, Ernie and Carl Adams. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann (Andrew) Woodrow, and their children, Deneen (Joe) Duncan and their family, Cale, and Braydon; Brad (Heather) Woodrow, and their family, Lake, Maple and Winter; daughter, Rawleen Emily (Henri) Souchotte, and their children, Chad (Karen)and their family, Nolan, Dustin, Ryan; Kurtise (Pattie) Souchotte, and their family, Ryland, Jayden and Dray, her sisters: Helen Huber, Lorraine Harding and Anne Beck. Dorothy‘s greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took every opportunity to spend time with them and they in turn loved her. Until recently she loved to bake treats and goodies for her great children in anticipation of their visits. She was a member of the Wolfcreek Community Center where she enjoyed playing bridge with her friends as well as reading and needlepoint. She was active in the Wolseley United Church for many years. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at the Lakeside Nursing Home for their loving care and support.
