Everett Faron Alexson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Everett Alexson, a beloved son, father, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend. Everett will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Everett leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: Nevaeh, Mckalah, Everett Jr. and Amiah, and their mother Maryanne McGirr. He also held a very special place in his heart for Brynlee, whom Everett took in and who he considered as his own. Everett was a loving and supportive presence in Brynlee’s life, helping raise her and being there for her throughout her childhood. Brynlee and her father, Ricky Strongarm, were a constant part of Everett’s home and everyday life. The bond Everett shared with Brynlee was one of love, family and devotion and she will forever carry the memories of the role he played in her life.

Everett was a finishing carpenter, a skilled trade he took pride in. He had a talent for working with his hands and creating things with care and precision. His work reflected his patience, creativity, dedication and the skills he shared and the work he left behind will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Paternally - Everett is lovingly remembered by his father Dion Alexson; his siblings: Skylar (Ericka), Shyla, Destinee (Hendrick) and Brandon; his Kokums Marilyn Alexson and Nadine (Marty) and his Mooshum Freddy Smoker. He will also be dearly missed by his cousins: Fawna, Kris, Dawna, Shayle, Shalaylah, Treyvon, Shamarr, Shawn Jr., Shavon and his special cousin Shanee (Robby), along with numerous other cousins and extended family members. Everett will be lovingly remembered by his aunties and uncles: Claudette, Germaine, Pam, Desiree (Raymond), Karl, Greta, Shannon (Brian), Kelly (Farrah) and Faizon, and by his special niece Aaliyah and nephew Rico.

Maternally - Everett was predeceased by his mother Rachel Meister; grandmother Sandra Meister; Mushum Robert (Tolabee) Dubois; Kohkum Constance Dubois; Mushum Myron Thomson and Chapon Rose Dubois. He leaves to cherish his memory his Kohkum Ethel Dubois; uncle Lawrence Dubois; aunty Elizabeth Dubois; Kohkom Patricia Thomson; aunty Melissa Thomson; uncle Rance Thomson; uncle Jonas Thomson; uncle Michael Dubois (Jennifer); aunty Reighlyn Stebner (Isaac); Kohkom Rena (Jack) Penashue; aunty Jenna Dubois; uncle Cree and Baby Jack; Mushum Sherwin Cappo; uncle Terrance Daniels; aunty Tarissa Whitehead; uncle Brandon Daniels; uncle Emerson Cappo and Trayson Cappo and aunty Sarah Cappo. He will also be lovingly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family too numerous to mention, each of whom held a special place in his life and heart.

On his Alexson side, Everett was predeceased by his Kokums: Lucy, Geraldine and Charlotte Alexson; Mooshums Fred McKay and Stanford Alexson; uncles: Dwayne, Shane and Shawn Alexson; aunties Gina and Sabrina Alexson and cousins: Vince Gordon, Dagan Kreuger and Nathaniel Dubois.

Everett’s life was a gift to those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered through the love he shared with his children, the care he gave to Brynlee, the memories created with his family and the work he took pride in as a finishing carpenter.

Although he has left this world, Everett’s memory will continue to live on through his children, Brynlee, family, friends and future generations. His place in their hearts will never be forgotten.

Forever loved, deeply missed and always remembered.

A wake will be held in the Kahkewistahaw Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the same location on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Knowledge Keeper Darian Agecoutay and Oskapewis David Bobb. The interment will take place in the Kahkewistahaw Cemetery, followed by the feast.
