

Florence was born January 15, 1936, a second daughter to Bert and Gwen Lowe in Sintaluta, SK. Florence married Lawrence Rein on March 31, 1954. They enjoyed 68 years together and raised their family of three sons and a daughter in Wolseley.
Florence was predeceased by her parents; her husband Lawrence; sister Georgina (Jack) Balfour; son Garry; daughter-in-law Jill and grandson Marshall. She was also predeceased by Lawrence’s parents Philip and Karoline Rein; brothers-in-law Wilfred (Chris), Army, Marvin (Audrey), Norman, Bill, Herb and Gerry and sister-in-law Aleane Traub.
She is survived by her son Launie (Sharon) and their daughters: Stacey and children Samantha and Nicholas Douan; Wendy (Jason Bohach); Amy (Chadd) Toppings and sons Ryan and Brett; son Terry (Gayle) and their sons: Eric (Jaime) and their daughter Elayna; Tyler (Kayla Speiss); Jay (Lisa) and their daughters Makayla and Alexis, granddaughter Kayla Rein; and daughter Leanne Rein. She is also survived by niece Jyl (Frankie) Szeman; brothers-in-law Clarence (Ruth) and Ervin; sisters-in-law Mable and Shirley Rein as well as numerous Rein family nieces and nephews.
Florence worked for a short time at the Toronto Dominion Bank in Wolseley before her marriage. She became a stay-at-home mom once her children arrived. She loved cooking and baking and was always ready to try a new recipe. Her large collection of recipe books was well worn. She was well known for her delicious bread and buns and the fantastic desserts she shared at many potlucks. She was passionate about the Wolseley Hospital Auxiliary and was regularly selling tickets for their many fundraisers. In later years she became one of the Weird Willie girls and worked there for 9 ½ years before retiring in 1996. She and Lawrence enjoyed hosting and going to card parties and as well as games nights at the Wolf Creek Friendship Centre. Florence was a resident of the Lakeside Senior Care Home at Wolseley for the past five years. She was very content with her life there and mentioned to everyone how well the staff cared for her.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Saturday January 10th at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. D. J. Kim. The interment will take place in the Wolseley Cemetery.
