

He was predeceased by his mother Cora Sparvier, his father Thomas Sparvier, his son Chad, his brothers: Barry, Lloyd, Darren and Ricki Dog and his sisters: Mary, Linda and Melissa.
He is survived by his love Arlene; his children: Patrick, Genalle (Cory), Geneen and Genifer; his grandkids: Kaj, Jordynn, Sophia, Darius, Drayjon, Delihja, Pasha, Kaylie, Sadie, Nicole, Lexxi, Kaleah and Brycklan; his brothers Denny and Jesse, and his sisters: Shane, Felicia (Patrick), Patricia (Floyd) and Pamela.
Galer grew up on Kahkewistahaw and spent time in British Columbia and Alberta. He then moved to Saskatoon where he raised 4 kids in sports and was a decorated coach in ringette and fastball. In his later years, he moved back home to Kahkewistahaw and spent time in various areas including leadership. He was a hard worker, working until this past summer where he helped with other elders on the nation.
Those who knew him will always remember his sharp mind, quick humour, the way he approached everything in life with hard work, determination and stubbornness.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the EMS teams, nurses and doctors at the Moosomin Hospital and Indian Head Hospital for their exceptional care, compassion and support in making his journey easier.
Galer requested for no wake to be held. A Celebration of Life will be held in Regina Funeral Home, 4001 E Victoria Avenue East, Regina, Saskatchewan, on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. No children allowed in attendance.
The pallbearers will be: Chris Delorme, Nathan McKay, Cory Alexson, Drayjon Sparvier, Jesse Sparvier and Kaj Sparvier.
