Predeceased by his parents Earl and Lindsay Gibson, brother Barry and brother-in-law Roman Cianflone.
Survived by his wife Fran, son Derrick and his daughters Brooke, Hannah and London. Daughter Jan (Mike) Stobbs and their children Aden and Parker. Sister Audrey (Al) Breit and their daughters Jo-Elle and Erin and Sister Shirley and many relatives and friends.
George worked at the Experimental Farm in Indian Head. Alex Marion Restaurants and Sysco for 38 years. Retired on November 14, 2003. He was a huge contribution both to his work and his extra-curricular activities on the Social Club. Retirement years were filled taking part in the Sysco Food Shows. George also worked and helped at Flowing Springs Golf Course for Loney Anderson and his wife Bunnie at the Golden Mile Golf Store. Joined Loney to Orlando, Florida to take in the huge Golf Shows and the enjoyment of Golfing. George and Fran took up the Seniors 5-Pin Bowling at the Golden Mile Bowling Alley. George quickly became the Head Coordinator for Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Great fun and entertainment each day with the support and guidance of the Bowling Alley’s General Manager Rick Schafer and Staff. Also, many thanks to Dr Eric Leung for his expert care. George was a “People Person”.
At George’s request there will be no Funeral Service. Cremation has taken place.
