On Saturday, February 23, 2013 Hubert Acoose passed away in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Sakimay Complex, Sakimay First Nation on Thursday, February 28th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Wojciech Wojtkowiak OMI and Sister Bernadette Feist, OSU. Prayers to be held at Sakimay Complex, Sakimay First Nation on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Parish Cemetery. Hubert was predeceased by his wife Yvonne Pelletier; companion Violet Fiddler; son Elvis; parents: King and Angelique Acoose; sisters: Marie-Louise, Lucy and Jemima; brothers: Joe, Noel, George, Ernest and special niece Marion (Toya) Pelletier. He is survived by his children: Laverne-Kim (Allan), Jason (Jody) Houston and Brent; grandchildren: Disa (Steve), Trinity, Andrew, Jessy (Chantel), Rene, Denver, Taylor and Elvis; numerous great grandchildren; special nieces Vicky, Iris, Melissa and Frederica Jeneen and special nephew Fred “Fonz” as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
