On Sunday, July 12, 2015 Irene Hotomani, Carry the Kettle, Saskatchewan died in the Regina General Hospital at the age of 69 years. She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Clara Hotomani; a son Kimberley and a daughter Glenda Hotomani; a granddaughter Tanita Wesaquate and two grandsons: Tyrell and Xavier; sisters Evelyn Eashappie, Inez Hotomani in infancy and Wenda Hotomani; brothers Larry, Dwayne, Mervin and Clifford Hotomani; Irene is survived by her husband Leonard Eashappie and children Michelle, Jadon (Danette Rope), Landon, Farrah and Connie (Stanley Agecoutay); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A traditional wake will be held in House #206, Carry the Kettle on Thursday commencing at 4:00 p.m. On Friday, July 17, 2015 the family will take her to the Carry the Kettle Band Hall for a traditional service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bernice Saulteaux and CTK Band Elders officiating. Interment will be in the South Cemetery.
