Herbie was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Alex and Myrna Ashdohonk; paternal grandparents William and Mary Dubois and his father Gary Dubois.

He is survived by his mother Leta Spencer; son Danny; sister Amy; brother Lyle (Andycap); nieces: Josie, Johanna and Addison; nephews Josiah and Evander; great-niece Tianna; uncles: Murray Ashdohonk, Dennis and Derrick ‘Rocky’ Dubois; aunts: Mary Ann, Dee, Cindy, Phyllis and Sharon; aunts: Kendra Dubois, Joan and Marcella along with many other relatives too numerous to mention.

Prayers took place in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Monday, March 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Donnell and Michelle Thomson officiating. The funeral service took place in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Donnell and Michelle Thomson officiating. The interment took place at a later date in the Middle Cemetery, Carry The Kettle Nakoda Nation.

The pallbearers were Carter Spencer, Gene O’ Watch, Pat Brown, Kurtis Ashdohonk, Gary Hotomanie Jr. and Gerald Spencer.
