Jessie Edna Saulteaux

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister Jessie Edna Saulteaux, “Firestone Woman” “Peta Iyan Win” at the age of 80 years. Jessie was born near the town of Birtle, Manitoba. She will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 53 years William (Bill) Thomson, daughters, Shawn (Joe) O’Watch, Carol Adams, Delores (Mike) Hanska, Cecilia Thomson, Lenette Cappo, sons, Henry (Pearl) Skywater, Gabriel Saulteaux, Kenward (Morty) Saulteaux, Willard (Adriana) Thomson, Delanie (Bev) Saulteaux, William (Jenna) Saulteaux, brother, Cecil (Alberta) Benn, sisters, Violet Benn, Mable (Ray) Clark, as well as her grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins and other family members too numerous to mention. Jessie was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Benn, daughters Maxine, Marilyn and Sheila Saulteaux, grandchildren, Jamie Saulteaux, Derrick Saulteaux, Ringo Saulteaux, Dakota Saulteaux, Darlin Cappo, and several siblings. A wake will be held in the Carry-the-Kettle Band Hall on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 4:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bernice Saulteaux officiating. Interment in the South Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Tubman Cremation and Funeral Services.
