With deep heartbreak, we announce the sudden passing of Kelcey Alynn Thomson, beloved daughter of Myrtle and Tim and was taken far too soon. She will be forever loved and missed. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by family and friends, embraced by the people who meant the most to her.
She was the loving partner and soulmate of Winston and a cherished sister to Caitlyn, Jared and Justyn. Family meant everything to her and she loved fiercely and selflessly. She was also deeply loved by her grandparents Duncan and Linda; uncles Wesley and Donnell (Michelle); cousins: Jo’el, Madison and Buttons; aunties Suzie and Paula; as well as her half-siblings: Kaylen, Kyrsten and Will, along with their father; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who also held her close to their hearts.
Her heart was full of love and her spirit cared deeply for others. She dedicated her career to nurturing children at Thomas Circle of Care, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she guided.
Though she always dreamed of becoming a mother, she poured that same nurturing love into being the best auntie to her special nieces: Aubrey, Lily, Rylee and Zendaya, helping raise them and creating treasured memories through school pick-ups, sleepovers, crafts, swimming, long walks, late-night bonfires and endless laughter that will live on forever.
She was a devoted friend, sharing a special bond with her best friends Cassandra and Laurie, whose friendship meant the world to her. Known for her kind soul, creativity and gentle heart, she touched many lives. Her passing leaves an unimaginable void, but her love will live on through the memories she leaves behind.
Kelcey loved traveling to warm destinations, especially when those trips were shared with Winston’s family. Those journeys meant so much to her and they were made possible through the love and thoughtfulness of Mary Ann, who planned them with such care. Kelcey was happiest near the ocean - listening to the waves, feeling the breeze and letting the calm wash over her. There was something about the water that brought her peace, as if it spoke directly to her soul. Those moments by the sea reflected who Kelcey was - gentle, free-spirited and deeply connected to beauty and stillness. I like to believe she has found her forever ocean now - warm, peaceful and endless.
Kelcey was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. Kumar for his kindness, compassion and empathy toward our daughter and family. We also thank Dr. Joelle McBain, the Neuro Operating Room team, Dr. Rao and the SICU staff, Jorja, Alex, Pat and all the wonderful staff on Unit 3E for their care and support. Your dedication has meant more to us than words can express.
The funeral service will take place in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, Saskatchewan on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Donnell and Michelle Thomson. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
