On Sunday, June 26, 2011, Lorenze Ludwig Schneider, Wolseley, SK., died at the age of 94 years. Lorenze was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy in 2008; one son, Raymond; one granddaughter, Dayna; his parents, Michael and Philippina; his step-mother, Josephine; two brothers, Fred and Reinhold (Roy); one sister, Lydia Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Connie; grandson-in-law, Dan Francais. He is survived by son, Ronald; daughter, Brenda (Alan) Moss; brother, Bill (Marge); sister, Margaret; daughter-in-law, Faye Coueslan; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandson and numerous other relatives. Lorenze farmed in the Wolseley district all his life. He was an honorary life-long member of the Wolseley Lions Club and over the years he served on various committees and organizations such as the Wolseley Memorial Union Hospital Board, the Wolseley Curling Club, the New Arena committee; the Shorthorn Association and the Liberal Party. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Tubman Funeral Home, Wolseley, SK., on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gerald Bruce Andersen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279-3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK., S4P 2R3 may be tokens of remembrance.
