Loretta was born May 14, 1946 and raised in Sovereign, SK. She was the second youngest of 8 children. She attended secretarial college in Saskatoon and graduated in 1965. She met the love of her life, Denis, while working for the Dean of Arts & Science at the University of Saskatchewan. They were married and moved to Fort Qu’Appelle in 1967. Together Denis and Loretta raised 3 children. She was a meticulous homemaker, seamstress and helped in the family drugstore when needed.
Loretta loved music and was a talented pianist. She took pride in serving the church as a pianist, hosting bible studies and having guests for dinner. She enjoyed family ski vacations and trips to Disney. Later in life she enjoyed winters in Palm Springs and other travels with good friends. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. Also, for those that were there when mom needed care or Denis needed a meal. We are so thankful she was able to spend her days in the home she and Denis built together.
