

Martin Mann was born in Broadview, Saskatchewan, Canada on March 19, 1916 to Henry and Mary Katherine (nee Geres) Mann. He lived all of his life in Broadview with farming as his career. He attended Broadview School and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Martin's hobbies were reading and singing but his family, church and farm life meant the most to him. He was a gentle man who never hurt a fly. Martin retired in 1987 and moved to the town of Broadview where he remained till his death on June 4, 2002. His funeral service was held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Broadview, on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. with officiant Rev. Edmund Mielke. Interment took place in the Broadview Cemetery with George Trithart, Laurence Korfman, Paul Kruesel, Ron and Larry Fleece and Ron Rif acting as pallbearers. Arrangements were entrusted to Tubman Cremation & Funeral Services, Wolseley, Saskatchewan, Canada, Laurie D. Rey funeral director in charge. Martin leaves to mourn his brother Jack, of Broadview, his sisters: Mary Rief, Broadview; Lena Weber, Springside, Saskatchewan, Canada; Dorothy Rif, Broadview; Helen Chudyk, Broadview; and Klara Donnelly, Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Martin is also survived by his sister-in-law Walda Mann, his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers: John, Henry, and Rev. Joseph Mann as well as two brothers in infancy.
