An interment of her urn took place on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:45 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
Maxine was predeceased by her loving husband Aurel ‘Shultz’ and her parents Mike and Johanna Fisher.
She is survived by the love of her three children: son Jamie (Nicki) and their family Alexia and Leyton; daughter Jennifer (Gord) and their family Noah, Brody and Sophie; and son Jody; five brothers: Reg, Jerry (Patsy), George (Cecile), Donald (Lea) and Roger (Cheryl) along with numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and her best friend Vivian.
Maxine will always be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother who rarely missed a sporting event that her children or grandchildren were involved in. She was an amazing mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community in Montmartre, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Our family is truly moved by the outpouring of generosity and love shown by family, friends and the community of Montmartre. We extend a heartfelt thank you to Michelle Fisher for her love, support and guidance, to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre and to the Pasqua Hospital for the care she received.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to the Montmartre Health Trust, Box 33, Montmartre, SK, S0G 3M0.
