Mona was born December 7, 1928 in Cupar SK. She attended Radant School from grades 1 -10, then attended Gabriel’s Convent Boarding School at Lebret where she graduated from Grade 12. In 1946 after graduation Mona attended Normal School in Moose Jaw and received an interim 1st class teaching certificate. After only six weeks at Normal School she was assigned to a teaching position in Batoche for four months, and then returned to Moose Jaw to complete her course. Mona taught school in Markinch, Ferrell School in Grayson and Dubuc where she then met her husband, Steve while at a dance. Mona married Steve on October 3, 1950. They settled on the Krupski home farm southwest of Lemberg, SK where they raised 13 children and continued on with their family farming legacy. Mona spent countless hours in her bountiful garden every spring, summer and fall filling her canning cupboard for winter with her abundant harvest. Many of her other hobbies included bingo, playing cards, crossword puzzles and coffee time with the neighbors.
In 2001, Mona moved off the family farm into the town of Lemberg, SK where she resided until moving to Regina, SK in 2014 to an independent living facility. In 2022 she moved to Hayes Haven in Indian Head, SK for a short time. Due to declining health, Mona spent 2023-2025 in Kipling Integrated Health Centre where she received amazing and compassionate care until her time of passing.
