Ronald McCarthy

March 18, 1945 – December 12, 2015

With sadness the family would like to announce the passing of Ron McCarthy at the age of 70 years.

The funeral mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Montmartre, SK on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. by the Rev. Dennis Remot.

Cremation with interment in Regina Memorial Gardens.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Emile and Rose McCarthy; brother Dennis and twin grandsons Dillon and Austin.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Paulette; children: Diane, Colette and Greg (Cindy); six grandchildren: Ashley, Brook, Natasha, Brtttany, Hannah and Hailey; two great grandsons Nathan and Nixon; his sisters and brothers: Doris (Albert), Louise (Lloyd), Lorraine, Annette, Evelyn (Dennis) , Florence (Mike), Norm (Judy), John (Doris) and Marcel and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

He grew up in Manitoba, his working career led him to Sask. in the construction industry for approx. 25 years. Ron continued to use his construction skills helping family, friends and members of the town and community in making their dreams come true. Ron and Paulette moved to Montmartre where they farmed and retired. They both enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and spending their last 20 winters in Mesa Arizona.
