

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our sister, niece, cousin, auntie, mother and daughter, Tannisha Morice Eashappie, Wicahbi tosha Waste Wiya, Good Purple Star Woman, of Carry The Kettle First Nation at the age of 29 years.
Tannisha was one of a kind. She had a big loving heart, always willing to help anyone in need. She was an amazing mother to her daughter Cassandra and a very loving auntie to her nieces and nephews. She raised her nephew Kaidence as her own.
She was predeceased by her loving mother Priscilla; grandmother Vickie and grandfather Leo; great-grandparents Gillespie and Georgina; uncle Jamie; nephew Zahalo; cousins: Georgina, Deacon and Curtis and a special aunt, Kara Thomson.
Tannisha is survived by her loving daughter Cassandra; the father of her child, Dorrian; brothers: Jonathon and Tyrone (Honey); sister Destiny; stepfather Spence; special aunt/mother and uncle/father Jennilee and Gary; aunties Tewana (Matthew) and Georlene; special cousins: Kesslan, Trista and Taran; special nephew Kaidence; special mother-in-law Stephanie; sister-in-law Destiny; special auntie Leona Eashappie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The wake will take place in the Carry The Kettle Community Centre on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the same location on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Clyde O'Watch officiating. The pallbearers will be Dwyre McArthur, Garreth Dustyhorn, Taran Spencer, Jamie Spencer, Robbie Spencer and Wayne McKay. The interment will be in Carry The Kettle Middle Cemetery.
The family requests that no children attend the services.
