Vernon Blaine Taypotat

Vernon was predeceased by his parents Clarence Taypotat Sr. and Verna Evelyn (nee Bear) Taypotat; parents-in-law Robert Roland Dufrense and Vivian (nee Seeseequasis) Dufrense; sisters: Hilda (nee Taypotat) Gamble, Priscilla (nee Bear) Wills and Lynda Creely; sister-in-law Harrette Singer and his special nieces Amy V.E. Gamble and Angela Poorman.

Vernon leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife Delilah (nee Dufresne) Taypotat; his children: Jessica (James) Taypotat, Cody Faith Taypotat, Laceyy Marie Taypotat, Vernon Blade Jr. Taypotat, Ablaizsa Taypotat, Grayson Taypotat, Jasiah Taypotat and Robert Ronin; 22 grandchildren, including grandson Jayven Vernon Peter Taypotat and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by his godchild Natasha Brenne Lee Worme; siblings: Clarence Jr. (Jolynne) Taypotat, Clarisa Taypotat, Veda (Fred) Taypotat-Gamble and Sam Taypotat; his adopted siblings: Stephanie Cameron-Caron, Julia Worme, Daniel (Jinx) Sutherland and Stan Gamble; brother-in-law Darren (Rebeca) Gardypie and Mary Anne Inyallie.

Vernon will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, extended family, relatives and many friends.

A Wake will be held in the Kahkewistahaw Community Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The Funeral will be held in Kahkewistahaw Community Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. The interment will take place in Kahkewistahaw Cemetery.
