Viola Dorothy Haywahe ( Tó i ‘ duh' Waš té Wiñ ) (Good Giving Woman) began her spiritual journey on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 to be with her predeceased Dad John Haywahe and Mom Sadie Haywahe (nee Eashappie) and her children Deidre Dawn and Preston Keith Lerat; she is survived by her loving partner Gordon Favel; two sons Gordon Tyler (Riley) and Christopher (Roberta); her siblings: Rosie (Calvin), Brenda, Tim, Jake (Holly), Clint (Audrey), Cindy (Earl), Laurie (Lyndon), Kevin and Elton (Rebecca) and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; two adopted daughters Rachel Sangwais and Kayla (Eldon) Pelletier; adopted sons Darwin Goodwill, Charlie Goforth, Steven Redman, AJ Redman, Wavell Starr, Jason Keewatin and other extended family; step sons Gord Petruic and Leslie (Olivia), adopted brothers Danny Seaboy, Dougie and Donny Rain, Frank McKay, Ron and Ted Noon, an adopted sister Maxine Tapper as well as her adopted Pratt family from Muscowpetung First Nation.
The Haywahe family wishes to acknowledge Viola’s drum family: Buffalo Lodge, Big Bear, Battling Bear and High Noon.
A Wake will be held in the Carry the Kettle (CTK) Elders Lodge on Wednesday, September 12 starting at 4:00 p.m. with an evening service. A funeral service will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (CTK) on Thursday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Sam Isaac and President Rob Dilts officiating. Interment will follow in the CTK South Cemetery.
