On Sunday, August 25, 2013, Warren G. Brent Ryder, Carry-the-Kettle First Nation, died at the age of 57 years. The funeral service will be held in the Carry-the-Kettle Band Hall on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Officiant: Elders John Taylor and Vincent Ryder. Interment in the Middle Cemetery. A wake will be held in the band hall on Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m. Predeceased by parents George and Alma Ryder, brothers, Glen, Garry, Jimmie and Gordie. Warren is survived by son Larson (Tanis) Ryder; daughters: Dakota (Ryan) Ryder and Shadoe (Troy) Thompson, his grandchildren, Austin, Aliyah, Legace, Hailey, Laurita and Hayden; siblings: Karen, Barb (Kevin), Nellie, Kurt (Ivy), Sheila, Pam (Clayton), Leon (Kariah) and Jayni (John), Warren had a special person whom he called "my dad", Raymond Prettyshield, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
