Winona Priscilla Runns taȟmúya wį́yą “Flying Rattle Woman”

Winona leaves behind her loving mother Karen; stepfather Alvin; her siblings: Felicia (Jamie), Junior (Lindsay) and Lisa; her beloved nieces: Kaleya, Harlem and Jersie; nephews: Memphis, Kaiden, Kenton, Kiyan, Armin, Dreyden and Drake. She is also lovingly remembered by her son Brody; her partner Dustin; his children: Draven, Avien, Tayden and Kali, along with many extended family members and friends.

Winona was predeceased by her father Elmer Sr.; her grandparents Joseph and Claudia Runns and Gillespie and Georgina Eashappie; her niece Eliana and a beloved baby she now carries in heaven.

Pallbearers will be: Jamie McNab, Memphis Runns, Jacob Runns, Desmond Eashappie, Scottie Eashappie and Mitch McNab.

Honorary pallbearers are: Julez Jack, Sherice Runns, Shaylene Eashappie, Jennilee Eashappie, Rebecca Eashappie, Arnelda McNab, Presley Landin, Sheraine Keewatin, Stenella Runns, Elton Haywahe, Greg Runns Sr., Gary Dustyhorn and Larita Thomson.

A wake will be held in Carry The Kettle Community Hall on Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation, on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place in the same location on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Donnell Thomson and Michelle Thomson officiating. The interment will take place in the South Cemetery.
