Mom was adamant that there be no eulogy but to focus ONLY on Jesus Christ and not on her. We intend to honor her wishes and not talk about all the memories of her as a wonderful mother and cherished friend; or to even mention how we all just loved her genuine and easy laugh and the sweetness of her smile; and for sure not brag about her knack for decorating and her attention to details; like how she would buy a gift, making sure that the wrapping paper, the ribbon, and the card all matched just to make it special for the recipient; or when she would argue with the GPS lady in the sky insisting the lady was wrong. It baffles me that we ever got to our destination after hitting so many dead ends and making so many U-turns but that was our Mom.
Mom maintained a desire to pass in a very private manner with all praise and glory for her beautiful life here on earth be given to Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. Her prayer for all of us is that we, too, accept His gift of eternal life. She lived and passed with great anticipation of being in His presence and His daughter for eternity.
At Mom’s request we held a private, family service on March 7, 2019 and appreciate that you understand and honor her decision.
