He is preceded in death by his father, Martin; mother, Karolina and brother, Gary Kawohl.
Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Gerry (Jarmusz); children, John and Chris; sister, Elina Davis; nieces, nephews, loving relatives, friends and fur babies.
During WWII the Kawohl Family fled the war-torn area of Germany and relocated to Australia before legally immigrating to the US from Germany. They settled in Chicago, where he met Gerry and started a family.
In 1972, the family purchased a dairy farm in Rice Lake, WI. They then began a series of entrepreneurial pursuits including owning Blue Hills Inn Supper Club in Weyerhaeuser, WI, Ernie's Drive-In in Star Prairie, WI and retiring from Plastech Corp in 1996.
A Celebration of Life will be held in April in Woodbury, MN and Rice Lake, WI. Further details to come.
