To Pat and Danny and Suzy,
Now that things are settling down from the holidays and you have time to reflect on the life of your husband and dad, I hope you know how much others loved him.  He was a tall "drink of water" and had great hair and a great smile.  He was a really good card player and an even better neighbor...always willing to help when needed.  We missed you once you moved off the West Side but kept in touch through your great emails Pat.  Each call for thoughts and prayers did not go unanswered and I know the amount of time he had with you all in these last years was much appreciated by all.  I know Christmas will have a different meaning for you all going forward, but know that it was the day that Gary was released to whatever is next for us all and that he will be remembered with love.

We are very sorry about the loss of Gar but the way he lived his life gives us reason to celebrate. We can only hope we can look at death the same way he did. It is just another part of life. I think he would want it that way.

I am going to miss you my friend. I will never forget all the times I asked you how you were feeling and your answer always was "Super. Just Super". I will not forget the times when you could not remember a certain town or lake or other things but you always had a name for it "Whatchacallit". I will not forget our times on the lake fishing. There were never enough of them. Thanks for showing me and Matthew your grouse roads. I will not forget the phone calls talking about hunting and fishing and life in general. Thanks for all the stories you told me and for some reason you thought I did not believe them. You always followed them up with..."That is Gospel". I believed all of them from the start. Thank you for being so generous to me and my family. You taught my son and daughter life long lessons and for that I am forever Thankful. Thanks for all the prayers you said for me and my family. We needed everyone of them. For those of us who had the pleasure of talking with you on the phone they may remember just before the conversation would end how you would say.... "I know you are busy and I am talking your ear off. Or talking your arm off. Or talking your leg off", I wish you could talk my arm off one more time. You would always end your conversations with me "God Bless."

Gary's unshakable faith, courage and positive outlook on life regardless of the situation was incredibly inspirational.  While deeply saddened, I take great comfort knowing he is present with the Lord and he will remain very much alive in our memories and admiration.

I miss you desperatly and love you dearly...but, I KNOW your new life has begun and I bet it's "SUPER!" I will sooo miss our Faith talks: my Uncle Gary LIVED his Faith.
