

Preceded in death by parents, Jean Letendre and Isabelle Williams; and sister, Naoma Nancy Letendre.
Gene was a systems analyst working for the Metropolitan Council, where he was involved in regional planning; he retired in 1991. One of his many previous occupations was a coal fireman for the Illinois Central Railroad which led to a lifelong love of trains.
He was a man who always liked to experience new things, he travelled the world widely and was one of the first adopters of personal computers, smart cell phones and electric vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Anderson); son, Douglas Letendre; niece, Sandusky Shelton; nephew, Russell Shelton; and other relatives and friends.
He was much loved and will be missed greatly.
Funeral services for Gene will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home (2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury) with a visitation one-hour prior.
