Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Martha; and daughter, Carol (age 3).
Survived by wife, Madelon; daughters, Pamela Stewart, Susan (Alan) Downs, and Barbara (Larry) Lynch; sons, James A. and Donald (Julie); 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; step-children, Jeffrey (Becky) Zuelke and Jeri Ann (Steven) Talmage.
He acknowledged Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1954. He served his country in WWII and Korean conflicts. Civilian contributions include the City of Woodbury Planning Commissions, Washington County Parks and Recreation and the Woodbury Arts Connection. Jim’s mission in life was to serve others; and “Mr. Fixit” made and repaired lots of things for lots of people.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 21st at Woodbury Lutheran Church (7380 Afton Road, Woodbury). Visitation Tuesday, November 20th from 4-7 pm at Wulff Funeral Home – Woodbury (2195 Woodlane Drive, Woodbury) and one hour prior to services at the church, Wednesday.
Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Colina De Luz Orphanage which was close to Jim’s heart for many years.
