Jenni Lynn (Hutchison) Hardie, 42, loving wife to Matthew Hardie and loving mother to Harper, passed away on August 10, 2025 after a short illness with sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

Jenni was born to Lynn (Fowler) and Larry Hutchison on April 28, 1983, in Tomah, WI. She lived for a brief time in Ontario, WI and later moved to Cashton, WI.

She always knew she wanted to be a math teacher at a very early age. Jenni graduated as Co-salutatorian from Cashton High School in 2001. She attended Winona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree with a Major in Math Secondary and Minor in Coaching and Statistics. She obtained her master’s degree at Concordia University in Educational Leadership.

Jenni was united in marriage to Matthew Hardie on August 9, 2008, in Blair, WI. Her greatest joy was when they welcomed their daughter Harper in 2018. She devoted her life to giving Harper all the love in the world.

Jenni was a devoted teacher and colleague. Besides her daughter, her greatest accomplishment was making a difference in her students’ lives. She provided her students with the best of her knowledge, kindness, humor, patience, and acceptance to help her students succeed. She left a lasting impact on both her students and her colleagues.

Jenni is survived by her husband Matthew Hardie, their daughter Harper, her mother Lynn (David) Nuccio, her father Larry (Rita) Hutchison, her brother Ryan (Torrie) Hutchison, her stepsister Candace (Jake) Hundt, her stepbrothers Eric (Nicole) Hurtz and Leigh (Melissa) Hurtz, and her step grandparents Norman and Donna Janzen.

Additionally, she is survived by her in-laws Kathryn and Kevin Hardie, brother-in-law Nick (Danielle) Hardie, sister-in-law Rachel (Josh) Ranney, and grandparent-in-law Marcia Hardie. She also has several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Virgil and Bertha Fowler, Dorothy and Ivan Hutchison, step grandparents Joseph and Mary Nuccio, and Aunt Shirley Thompson.

A private service will be held at Wulff Funeral Home in Woodbury, MN and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

The GoFundMe: Help Jenni Hardie and Family Through CJD will be used to help provide a savings for Harper’s financial security.

Memorials may be made to the Lakeview Health Foundation, Stillwater, MN in memory of Jenni.
