John G. Erickson Age 62, of Rosemount (former longtime Woodbury resident) went home to the Lord on Friday, October 8, 2021

Preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary Erickson; infant brother, Jimmy; father-in-law, Ed Okubo; beloved pets, Teddy the beagle and Tucker the lab.

John will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 37 years, Glo; sons, Kyle (Annie), Dane (wife Kelsey), and Evan (Delaney); grandson, Coulter; siblings, Barbara (David), Eileen (Chuck), Mary (Paul); mother-in-law, Pearl Okubo; brother-in-law, Randy; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Rick). He will also be missed by cherished relatives, friends, colleagues and community members.

John’s faith was essential to him and influenced all that he did. He led a life of integrity as a devoted husband, father, papa and friend. John was a mentor and coach who poured his heart into the lives of countless athletes across multiple generations. Whether coaching his own sons or the greater community, John loved to “coach ‘em up”.

Though gone from this earth too soon, John lived a full and vibrant life. He was a great storyteller who loved to share his life experiences with others. The best way to honor his legacy will be through the retelling of these stories and sharing of our memories.

Visitation will be 5:30 – 8:30 pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at WULFF WOODBURY Funeral Home 2195 Woodlane Drive Woodbury, MN 55125. *Please do not arrive prior to 5:30 pm.

Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Inwood Oaks Event Center located at 484 Inwood Ave. N., Oakdale, MN. with second visitation time starting at 12noon until time of service.
