

She is survived by 5 of her 6 children; Mary (Kieth) Armstrong, Kathleen (Bruce) Johnson, Jean (David) Fasching, Ann (Robert) Gaertner, Thomas (Amy) Kelly; Daughter in law Carol Kelly, Fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Thomas F Kelly; son, Vincent P Kelly; siblings, John Hak, Vincent Hak, Myron Hak and Helen Nied.
Mary was born September 14, 1929, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Mary is a first-generation Polish immigrant and grew up down on the Levee in Saint Paul. Mary is a graduate of Mechanic Arts high school and held a variety of jobs. She was a stay at home mother for 16 years and re-entered the workforce as the office manager/closing agent of John Currell Reality and retired as the administrative assistant to the president of Minnesota Farm Bureau.
Mary was an avid seamstress and quilter, creating a wide variety of projects for her ever- expanding family over the past century. Her faith and family were most important to her, and she was happiest spending time with her husband and extended family at her lake home in Grand Marais, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Saint Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic Church, with a visitation one hour prior, 4125 Woodbury Drive, Woodbury, Minnesota 55129. Interment on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 36th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to a charity of your choice.
