Pat was born in Denver, Colorado, on July 29, 1937 to Nancie and Roy Hunt. Her younger sister, Loretta, was born 17 months later. Growing up, Pat enjoyed gathering autographs of entertainers, Saturdays at the movies, and visiting radio stations with her sister and friends. Pat and Tom were married on November 19, 1955 and recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. They lived in Frankfurt, Germany for 3+ years where their two daughters, Deb and Cheryll, were born. After Germany, Pat and Tom moved to Denver and then to Westminster, Colorado. They were transferred to White Bear Lake, Minnesota in 1967 where they raised their daughters.
Pat was a very social person who enjoyed children, entertaining in her home, had many friends she liked to visit and/or chat with on the phone, and was a long-life “contester” and won many prizes throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed working in the White Bear Lake area school district as a junior high lunch assistant, school secretary at two elementary schools, and then as a math secretary at Lakewood Junior College. In 1983, they were transferred to Kansas City, Kansas for a few years, and then were transferred back to Minnesota where they lived in Lake Elmo and then Woodbury.
Pat received her realtor’s license and worked with Coldwell Banker selling homes until she and Tom retired from their jobs at the age of 58. As retirees, Pat and Tom enjoyed volunteering with Elder Friends, participating in Bible study groups, and traveling with friends/family to the Black Hills, Arizona, Florida, California, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Arkansas, Hawaii, and the Scandinavian countries. Pat was always very proud of her daughters and son-in-law, was a regular cheering section for her three grandchildren’s activities, and loved opportunities to hug her great-grandchildren. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love, joy, gentleness, hugs, support, and caring-nature will be truly missed.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Nancie Hunt. Survived by her husband of 62 years, C. Thomas Walker, 2 daughters: Deb Stutelberg (Mark) and Cheryll Walker; three grandchildren: Laura (Andy) Chapeau, Michael (Jordyn) Stutelberg, and John Stutelberg. Three great grandchildren: Nathan, Hannah, and Samuel, and her sister Loretta Hanhurst (Don).
