

Bill was born on March 10, 1933, in Chatfield, MN, to Fred and Elvira Scott (Bartz).
Bill served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and served in the Air National Guard for 25 years.
Bill devoted much of his career to the Mayo Clinic and Xcel energy.
In his retirement, Bill spent his time fishing and grounds keeping at County Park 5 in Green Lake and wintering in Arizona. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved dancing and attending jams with his wife, Laurel, and many beloved friends.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Renee (John) King, Karla Turchin, Shannon (Al) Vavra, and son, Sean. Bill was a proud Grandpa to many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Laurel; his son Michael Scott, his parents, Fred and Elvira Scott, his sister Rosemary (Eddie) Ruzek.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 1pm-5pm at VFW Rosemount, MN.
Interment will be Friday June 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Fort Snelling for immediate family.
Bill will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His love and humor will always be remembered.
