Celia Sing

Celia Ilene Sing entered into eternal rest on November 27, 2013, surrounded by her family. A funeral mass for all to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 39-38 29th Street, Long Island City, NY. Additional information about the church can be found at its website: http://stpatlic.org. A reception at the church, following the service, will be held for those who are available to attend.

Born in New York City on May 19, 1958, Celia was an employee of the NYPD and an active resident in the Long Island City community for over 25 years. She will be missed by friends and animals alike in her neighborhood, and the animal shelter where she had given so much of her time.

Celia joins her parents, An Van Sing and Jean Louise Leach Sing and nephew Will Ganter in heaven. Celia is survived by her siblings Nancy Sing-Bock and her husband Norman Bock, Susan Sing, Lisa Manning and her husband Robert Manning, Donald Sing, and Bruce Sing and his wife Cathy Sing; as well as nieces and nephews Nicole Hart and her husband Phillip Hart and son Emmett Hart, Lindsay Ganter, Meredith Manning, Andrew Bock, Jenny Bock, Lara Bock, Caitlin Sing, Emily Sing, Jillian Sing, and Mathew Sing.

Her kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
