

Later Elizabeth moved to New York City, she started life in the Bronx. Elizabeth was a hard worker. She dedicated her time to her career, where she worked as a camera technician. In 1998 she founded friends of Queensbridge Park. Elizabeth was always dedicated to her community, her baby became ‘’River Park”. She fought hard to make the many changes in her community. She was such a pillar for Queensbridge. Elizabeth has received many many acknowledgements , awards and proclamations for her devotion and outstanding services. Elizabeth’s most recent award came from the NAACP, where she received the M.L.K. service award for many years of outstanding service as a stewardess of Queensbridge Park.
Elizabeth also served as a long time member on the board for Jacob RIIS settlement. There she contributed many years of service. Elizabeth loved children, every year she made it her business to plan special events just for children, those events were something she was very pleased to do. Elizabeth’s years of service awarded her to work beside Michael Bloomberg, Jimmy Van Bramer, Catherine Nolan, Senator Michael Gianaris, Joe Connelly, Bishop Mitchell Taylor and the list goes on. Elizabeth was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. She showed selfless acts of love for what she did in her community.
Elizabeth leaves to mourn her only child, daughter, Pamela Williams only grandson, Desmen Williams, 6 great grandchildren, Nyheim Williams, Anton Garrett, Nariq Chilsolhm, Ladaysha Williams, Nakiera Williams and Chase Williams, cousins James Mitchell, Ms. Muslima (Missye) Walker, godchildren, Stacy Whalley, and Ahmed Johnson, and a host of friends.
