George:  I continue to love you and feel your presence every day.  You are the love of my life and there is a huge void in my existence without you.  I wish you were here to share my feelings with you like I always did before.  God I miss you so much.  Love, David

My sincere condolences to David and to the family. George was my good friend for over a quarter-century and it’s hard to believe that I’ll never hear his infectious laugh or enjoy his clever wit again. He lived his life passionately and to know him was to love him.  I had the unique experience of sharing three manic days at Disney World with this exuberant man who never lost his sense of wonder (details upon request).  It was a huge honor to be best man at his wedding to wonderful David. He was courageous but clear-sighted as he faced his final physical challenges, and his sense of humor came through even at the worst times. Adio, Yiorgo--you were one of a kind, and I'll never forget you. 

I met George many years ago through The  Kips Bay designer show house. He was always a gentleman, very dignified, and with wonderful taste. I did not have a chance to know him well, however we always remembered one another, when our paths crossed. I have not been in that business for many years, but wanted to express my sympathies.

Our deepest sympathies to your family. My happiest moments were recalling Greek School adventures together when we were kids in Brooklyn and the joy & surprise to find George living in the same building in Manhattan. Most of all, I enjoyed our conversations in Greek together. You’re a good man and will be terribly missed by both me & Joe. Love you!

We will very much miss the anticipation of getting together with George and have him sharing his wit, experiences and superb story telling. Our condolences to David and George's entire family and friends.

I see that mischief in your eyes, George, that smile across the table when you and David and I gathered in Washington over the years to remember Rick. You had a way of making people feel beautiful and loved. You made me feel that way, and I know I'm not the only one. And I know that when it came to David you gave him the gift of unwavering devotion and total delight. You were the giver and the gift. I am so glad to have known you.

I remember the first I met George. He and David had come down to Florida to visit David's nephew, my fiance, Jessie. I am a very shy person but George and David never gave me the chance to be uncomfortable around them. I can remember sitting with George at a quiet little table away from it all. To be honest, I don't remember exactly what we discussed, but I remember that I felt more comfortable talking with him than I do talking to most people I have known for years. He was kind, funny, and what I remember most of all, incredibly quick witted. As excited as I was to see David and Jessie again, I can vividly remember the dissapointment when I realized my solo conversation with George was finished. 

I am sorry to say that we will not be able to attend the services, but George is in our hearts. I didn't know him as well as I wish I did, but he made a big impact on our lives. He was an amazing man and he will be dearly missed.

I was not fortunate enough to meet George, but am a relative of David's. My deepest sympathy to David! Love all the memories you both made during the past years! It must be heartwarming to you during these difficult days! Thinking of you!
