Dearest Joann,

I don't know even where to begin.  It has taken some time for me to even come to terms that you are not here any more.   I remember clearly reassuring you that you would be fine.  I guess I was only wishing and praying for the very best for you and your family.   I still cannot believe you are not with us.  I had the privilege of knowing you for twenty years.  Its feels like yesterday when we met at "Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs, LLP".  You became a great friend to me instantly.   Always there lending a helping hand and never expecting anything in return.  You were such an inspiration to me from day one in all aspects and I cannot thank you enough for always being the person you were.   Jo, you were one of a kind and I will miss you dearly.  Words cannot express the loss I feel for your family.

To the Col Family -   I know this is the greatest loss for all of you and I can understand why, there was no one like your Wife/Mom/Grandmother.   She loved each one of you so much.  She always said she had four different children, I could not count the ways she was so proud of all of you.   Her family always came first.  She held you all on a pedestal - you were her shining stars.

Aunt Joann,
I take comfort in knowing that you are at peace, and now with the rest of the family, including my Father. Thank you for being there for my mother after Dad's passing, and for just being you. Never yielding, and always there with a helpful hand or kind words. May God rest you soul. 

To the entire Col Family, My Mother and I are heart broken over the loss. Aunt Joann will live on in the hearts and souls of each and every one of us.

Seven years ago we heard a knock at our door.  A bold and fearless woman, full of inquiry, and should I add energetic, determined, and filled with life's zeal, Joann stepped into our lives with her husband Lou.  We were awe struck regarding her passion, and love for her "Louie", her adoration for her children, her family and best friends.  Mrs. Col was passionate about everything she touched. She was not afraid to drive home her talking points showing that her conclusions were right, BECAUSE she had research it...because of her concern and wanting YOU to know the best way.  Joanne had the ability to speak into the hearts of people from her heart with words that made you know ''I REALLY CARE''.  

We though we would have more time, looked forward to meeting more family and friends, hearing of your travels, of Lou and the kids.  And when we heard of the devastating turn of events we can only imagine the sorrow and sense of loss to the family and close "family'' friends. 

To the family....we loved Joanne, and will REALLY miss her.  And from the short time we knew her she was so much like my  grandmother...very thoughtful and very thorough.  

Though the void be great, 
Her passion strong, 
She taught you to live, 
The way she lived.
To 'grow' on........at first with tears, 
Fond memories, and with her love for life.  

Looking forward to seeing you Lou at the summer place and doing some flea markets.

It was my privilege to know Mrs. Col. She was always thoughtful and caring. A matriarch in the best sense of the word, she will be sorely missed.

It is so hard to fathom that you are gone.  You have been part of my life for so long.  You have always listened to me, given me advice, we talked about our vacations, we shopped til we drop, drank wine, spent many days in Pa, etc. 

I will always have  you in my prayers and talk to you.  You will still always be there with me guiding and cheering me on. Till we meet again, I Love You!

Mom,

We will miss you more than you could possibly imagine. The impact you have had on the lives of your children and grandchildren has created a legacy that will last for generations. You will always be in our hearts and minds.

So sorry for your loss.  You always spoke so highly of your mom.  Losing my mother was one of the most painful things in my life.  My thoughts and prayers are with you. It won't be easy but you will be strong I have no doubt.

Mom was the epitamy of what a mother is thought to be. She was committed to her husband and family with a vengeance. With the arrival of every grandchild, her heart got bigger. The pride she had in her children was overwhelming. She was the person we went to for advice, to be consoled, and to share the little things in life. She loved being with, travel, laugh, dance and enjoy family with Dad and he spoiled her in turn. They are who I model my marriage on. Mom raised 4 children with 4 totally different personalities and was able to connect with each and every one on such a personal level that it seemed that our likes and dislikes were hers as well. There is such a hole in our lives that it seems that could not possibly be healed. Mom I love you and miss you every moment of the day. We will continue to make you proud,
