

Kevin Franklin Spivey was born on February 13, 1957 in Flushing, Queens, NY to Cary Lewis Spivey, Sr. and Lucy Mae Toles Spivey. Kevin grew up in the Woodside Housing where he enjoyed music, hanging out with his friends, and playing hockey. Some of his best times were spent with the youth department at Mt. Horab Baptist church where his family attended.
After high school he joined the U.S. Army. After the military Kevin returned to Queens, working for the NYC Transit Department, he then relocated to Cayce, SC where his oldest sister, Bessie Mae and her family were living. It was there when he began a career as corrections officer and then a truck driver.
In early-2000's Kevin returned to Queens to be near his sister Annie. Soon afterward he began working for NYC Housing Authority and rekindled a romance with the love of his life, Nancy. He retired from Housing and then on February 15, 2017 he and Nancy were married, and he was able to share the rest of his days with her.
Kevin loved the Lord and his family. He is survived by his wife Nancy, his brother Cary, his sister Annie, brother in law Al, and sister in law Elaine; his nieces and nephews: Sharmaine, Gary, Darryl , Damon, Julius, Courtney, Lynette and Shana.
