I would like to express my condolences to the family of Mike in that he left us with many memories left behind of which I will always remember by knowing him from work and personal. I sometimes feel he's still here but he's now in a better place.

Uncle Mike,

Your presence brought such a light in my life. You truly touched everyone you encountered and from a young age, I was very fond of your love. Truthfully, you were stubborn but this characteristic made you incredibly loyal to your family. You always had some sort of wisdom to share onto others, you lived such an incredible life. This is truly a hard, unexpected goodbye. I will miss your humor, your spunk, your comfort, and your distinct smell of 7/11 coffee. I hope you are at peace with Emma and Joe and I am so grateful for each moment I got with you.

this time without you has done nothing but highlight the good that you brought to not only this family but to this world. you will forever be the most selfless and generous man that i will encounter. you taught me from a young age to spread love and share with everyone. a heart so incredibly big that it had room to love every soul- especially those with four legs- belonged to you. that lighthearted smirk and twinkling eyes of yours constantly linger on my mind. this experience of losing you is teaching me how precious and beautiful life is. you have inspired me to live to find where my heart belongs and leave a mark on everyone i meet, just as you did mike. your little gisele is going to make you proud. give grandma a hug for me. i’ll see you when i see you.

     In the 20+ years we have known each other  you were always there when we needed help. Your generosity and selflessness towards Cyndi and I was something I will always cherish. It's going to be difficult to go on without you in our lives but at least we know you're in a better place now. Rest in peace Uncle Mike.

Michael you will be missed We had a strong bond between brother and sister. You and me have 73 years together there  are so many memories. When we were kids  you was so protected, caring, and you was  alway there when I needed you. I really going to miss your jokes, your advices, and your smile that lit up the room. When I brought Cindy home from the hospital Michael fell in love with her  They both have develop a bond and Michael was more than a uncle he was like a brother to her There is not enough space to write all the goods Michael did. I really will missed you with a broken heart rest in peace with mom and dad

Mike was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. His self awareness was on the deeds of right which is where he showed his heart. I will remember him for this.

I miss my brother. We were very close and have always  been there for each other. I was always cherish our long phone conversations over the years.  He was one of  a kind  and  i'm proud to call him my brother. You will live forever in my memories!

This is the hardest thing I thought I would never write. I won’t say goodbye, I treasured you and I am so glad I have the most wonderful memories to comfort me. I don’t know how to go on right now but I hear you in my head…”stop stressing out, you know stress will kill you” and then I remember your zest 
for life. 
My biggest loss is not seeing you laugh or smile anymore. Your smile could light the room! I will dearly miss our daily calls and texts… who is going to tell me the news now?
You and I started as uncle and niece and grew to an almost sister/brother relationship and finally we became each other’s best friend and confident. You will be so very missed in this world but you have forever taken a piece of my heart. Until the time we can meet again, I promise to love animals always, be kind and respectful of everyone and try to honor your life through mine. 
I am thankful that you don’t have to suffer anymore, you were one of a kind! So glad I was able to have you in my life as long as I did. I love you!!!

I've known Mike for who he was both from working with him and knowing him personally. We've known each other for more than a generation and when I received the news that he had passed, I simply was left with an empty feeling of how long I knew him. He will always be remembered within myself. I am hoping that he's now in a much better place.

My parents and I lived 15+ years in the 82st and Astoria blvd unit and Mike was our landlord. 

Although he held that title, he quickly became a friend who became family.

Mike used to spend time with me when I was a kid, talk to me about staying in school, and encourage me to learn from his mistakes. 

I remember he said, “you never stop you keep going so you can help your family get the life they deserve.”

Mike was more than a friend, he was family.

We are  broken to hear this news but we will never forget how caring and compassionate Mike was. 

Thank you for always taking care of my family Mike. I know you may be gone in the physical, but you will never be forgotten.

What do we call a man with a kind heart , a man who loved animals and would come to our house and walk our dog , enjoy a cup of coffee or dinner at our home . We called him uncle Mike but in reality he was an Angel on earth , it was  the little things in life that made him happy , we would joke around my children & I when Mike stopped by , my kids would say uncle Mike and he would laugh and shake his head because I have 7 children , we have the pleasure of so many happy & funny moments with uncle Mike , I do vending machines for a living and Mike would stop by when he saw me in the garage and he loved puffed cheese doodles , it’s the little things that bring us the most joy sometimes in life , everyone cried when we heard of mikes passing but in that grief was also a sense of joy knowing he got on the express to Heaven , he passed peacefully in his sleep , a wish we all have but one reserved for angels on earth , 

Uncle mike is what we always called him. He was like family to all of us. He was always laughing. Any time we were around him we were always laughing.  Anytime we played pranks on him he always took it like a champ. He never got mad. We would always run to the car anytime we would see him pulling  up screaming uncleeeee mikeeeeee.  It always made him laugh so hard. When my son was 4 he would say uncle mike you got a dolla? Uncle mike always gave him that dollar, Sometimes  $5  or $20. He would say shhh don’t tell anyone. My son would show it off to the world and say uncle mike gave it to me. He felt like the luckiest kid in the world. He was a good soul. He would come hang out with my dad at the gym while all us kids worked out just so my dad wasn’t alone. Uncle Mike  will be greatly missed.

Michael always liked to joke around, he teased me and I teased him back. You will be missed!

I had the extraordinary pleasure of meeting Michael while in New York with Cyndi. I was blown away at what a gentleman he was. Kind, caring, and always looking out for others and those less fortunate no matter how challenging his own health. Truly an amazing man.
