Nikki Moorjani (nee Nanki Mansukhani) passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 after a prolonged illness. Nikki was born in Hyderabad on October 14, 1934 in what was then India, the second youngest of twelve children. As a young woman, her striking beauty and grace led her to work as a sari model and later as a secretary in her brother’s umbrella factory. She emigrated to the United States as a bride in December 1975. She and her husband, Dayal made their home in Flushing, Queens where they raised their only child, Rajesh—Raj.
Nikki is survived by her son, Raj, daughter-in-law Hope Tarr, brother, Hiro Mansukhani of Pune, India and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins scattered about the globe.
