Daniel George Romeo, 70, passed away in his home in Waleska, GA on August 2, 2019. Dan was born on February 23, 1949 to the late Fay and Philip Romeo in Manhattan, NY. He was one of 5 children. Dan honorably served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and remained a patriot his whole life. He had a strong work ethic and brought a depth of knowledge to his jobs in the telecommunication industry. Dan had a sharp eye and used that to his advantage in photography and target shooting. He also collected eagles and enjoyed driving sports cars. Dan had a big heart and was a mentor to many people and he loved animals, especially dogs. He was a devoted husband, loving father and affectionately known as Nanu to his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dan leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Gretchen Romeo; son, JP Romeo and his wife, Michelle; daughter, Angela Glass and her husband, Anthony; and grandchildren, Tyler, Rylie, AJ, Colton and Kenley.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be on Thursday, August 8, 2019 any time after 4pm at Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 1470 Woodstock Parkway, Woodstock, GA, 30118. This will be an informal gathering, casual dress and there will be time for sharing memories and stories about Dan and his life.
