We just found out about the passing of Dave   We are so, so sorry for the loss of an awesome man and friend.

Dave was a 4ever friend of mine and the Best Man at our wedding in 2001.

Dave's  surviving siblings Will and Judith and their families, and Dave's daughters Kayla Ann and Shannon Marie, as well as his nephew Jack and his family,   are deeply saddened  and Dave will forever be missed and in our hearts, love always to you David..❤

I worked with Dave for a couple of years on the Barbara Lee. He was the best guy I ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Haven't seen him in years but I still love him. He was that kind of a person. Rest in Peace old friend. 


I knew Dave back in the 80’s when he fished out of Barnegat Light. .  I actually rescued him when the swordfish boat Barbara Lee sank 70 miles offshore while I was out on the FV Karen L. . My heart is heavy for Dave.  RIP



Dave Dougherty lived on the next street over from me in Surf City NJ.  And we had lot's of great times.  I have not seen Dave in a really long time. Sad to think at one time we were really good friends. It would have been great to get together to relive our younger days!   Life is strange sometimes.  Sail on Dave!
