

Dorothy Rose Leone passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, in Woodstock, Georgia, at the age of 92. Born on May 23, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of August Rossetti and Antoinette Giglio.
Dorothy, lovingly known as “Nana” by her grandchildren, was the heart of her family. She had a fierce love for those around her, always making sure everyone was well fed and cared for. A master bridge player and talented knitter, Dorothy also had a fondness for the color pink and a sharp wit—she was known for saying, “You don’t wash windows, you change houses.”
She cherished her time at Holbrook in Woodstock, Georgia, where she built a warm and loving community. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip Edward Leone, and her brother, August Rosetti.
She is survived by her sons, Philip (Lorna) Leone and Michael (Merry) Leone; grandchildren, Natalie, Kristian, Nicholas, Andrew, Kelli, Ryan, John Michael, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Gabriela, Isabela, Luca, and Julian; and nephews, Joseph Leone and Stacy Leone.
A memorial service will be Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11:00 am, at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia.
Dorothy's warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
