Dear Sapp Family:

The passing of Gene was truly unfortunate for not only all of you but all the friends he and Jane had throughout the years.

He was a wonderful person that touched the hearts of all those who knew him.

We first met him in Redmond, Washington in the mid sixties and he, Jane and Kim became our best friends.  It was and still is a wonderful family.

As a part of that we asked Gene and Jane to become God Parents of our son, Bo, who was born in June of 1966. Gene, Jane and Kim came to Vancouver, Washington to celebrate that event in September of 1967.

Although no individual ever picks their parents, the decision we made in asking them to be Bo's God Parents was the best decision we could ever make.  

Prior to Gene's passing we were asked if we would be able to keep Sam, the Capriotti-Sapp Poodle.  We were honored that they thought of us in that request and accepted with appreciation.  In saying that we know it will always be a Capriotti/Sapp who goes by the first name of "Sam".

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Sapp Family.  Although a passing of any loved one is a difficult time, we will always think of knowing your father and mother as truly wonderful people.

Kim, Steve and family,
We are sorry for the passing of Gene. He was a light in our church--loved his smile. It lit up the room. His quiet and gentle spirit spoke volumes and taught us all how to be a light for God. I am sure right now his wonderful smile and spirit are bringing joy to all in Heaven. God bless and comfort all of you. Love, Norbi and Grisel
