Gerald "Red" Arrowood, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Red was born July 6, 1944 in Lincolnton, North Carolina to Gladys Duncan Arrowood and the late Luther Arrowood.
Red was a devoted husband, proud father and beloved pawpaw. He was a U.S. Air Force Captain during the Vietnam War Era until being honorably discharged in 1966. He also served as a nuclear medicine engineer whose career spanned 40 years at GE. He had a dry sense of humor and found joy playing golf.
Red is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Renn Arrowood; sons, Anthony Arrowood (Cynthia) and Jeremy Arrowood (Megan); mother, Gladys Duncan Arrowood; twin brothers, Alvin & Calvin Arrowood; brothers, William & Clyde Arrowood; sister, Mary Lou Arrowood King; grandsons, Tyler and Logan Arrowood; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The Arrowood family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home's Magnolia Room, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
