Jane Bolen Moore

Jane Moore of Acworth GA was born January 11, 1939 and passed unexpectedly from this life to her life eternal April 16, 2013. She was the daughter of Harold and Lucy Bolen of Savannah, GA who preceded her in death.

A 1956 graduate of Savannah High School, she married to C. David Moore of Marietta, GA and from their marriage they had 4 children who survive: Jeff Moore and wife Bobbi of High Point, NC; Holly Curlee and husband Byron of Marietta, GA; Brian Moore and wife Lisa of Wilmington, NC; and Ashley Rogerson and husband Sean of Charleston, SC. She dearly loved all 11 of her grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jean Bridges and husband Martin of Swainsboro, GA and brother Bill Bolen and wife Sheron of Statesboro, GA. She loved her kitties, but her true passion was gardening. Even the red Georgia clay yielded flowers to her green thumb. Her children were blessed to have been raised with her love and care at home prior to her return to the workforce later. She retired from JCPenney after many years as a retail associate and merchandising consultant in several area stores.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home on Friday April 19, 2013 at 4:00pm with the family receiving guests at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local Georgia Humane Society chapter in memory of Mom’s love toward her warm furry animals.
