Mr. John “Jack” Blanchard, 86, of Marietta, GA passed away December 19, 2019. Jack was born June 14, 1933 in Oshkosh, WI to the late Charles and Ethel Blanchard. After graduating from high school in Crystal Lake, IL, Jack joined the United States Army and honorably served, and he later completed his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University. He spent his career in Rockford, IL as a sales manager with Testor Corporation. Jack was a hard-working, patriotic and generous family man. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, you could find Jack on the golf course. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Blanchard; sons, David Blanchard (Nancy) and John Blanchard (Viko); daughters, Julie Pripps (Douglas), Suzanne Blanchard and Diane Ross (Scott); 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother, Chuck Blanchard. Jack was preceded in death by his grandson, Noah Pripps and sisters, Jeanne Goff and Betty Bahr. There will be a funeral mass on December 31st at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Marietta.
