Katherine Lucille Smith

Mrs. Katherine Lucille Smith, 89, of Woodstock, GA passed away on November 7, 2017. Katherine was born on September 18, 1928 in Brodhead, CO to the late Arlas and Mary Linda Knight. Throughout her life, Katherine worked various jobs and was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, computer games, knitting and playing bingo. She loved to be around babies and small children and was a natural care giver. Katherine was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by so many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Smith; son, Paul Smith; and daughter, Carrie Smith. Katherine leaves behind her daughters, Linda Borders (Larry), Sandra Downing (Jeff), Arliss Hargrove and Kay Faires; grandchildren, Laura, David, Lynn, Melissa, Robyn, Erin, Danielle and Chelsea; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and sister, Vaughndell Dodd. A memorial service will be on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
